Rapidly turn OVO’s old and poorly reviewed PhoneGap mobile app into something befitting of their customer service excellence and new brand identity, reducing customer service costs and increasing ROI.
ovo energy at the time was just starting to realise the potential of smart homes and how the connected devices could help. To ease them into the idea of an agile sprint we decided upon redesigning the current web app as a native app. With this we interviewed users of ovo energy mobile and created several edge cases and user personas. This gave us the bases of our research. After mapping the current user needs and journeys we learnt about the users needs and how they felt about using the app. From here we created a empathy map and fleshed out the ux. When created low level prototypes to test with the internal team. And finally we started to design and make the app as an mvp. Using an agile sprint plan we focused on priory of features and implemented each feature over time with the client as we handed over the projected.
After android beta launch in November and January for iOS we’re moving forward with the product roadmap with the client. By using data and analysing user behaviours we have shown ovo how important data is. Please see the designs below.
